We are looking forward to welcoming you at Diakonhøjskolen, Lyseng Allé 15H, DK-8270 Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark in a very few days.
Here is some information which hopefully can answer most of your questions:
About your travel:
Please look at the conference´s website for tourist information: Tourist information – Balint International 2026
If you plan to travel by intercity or regional train in Denmark, we recommend reserving a seat where possible.
About the venue:
Diakonhøjskolen is an educational institution primarily for young people who live on-site during their long-term courses. Please note that we do not have the premises for ourselves; we share the facilities with the young students.
Registration:
Registration for the congress is Thursday between 12 and 13 p.m. The desk will be placed at the entrance to the venue. You simply pick up your nametag from a table and that’s it! From you receipt, just go for your personal number from the top of the receipt.
On the tag you will find a QR-code leading to the conference homepage where you (hopefully) can find all necessary information including the program. If you do not find your nametag, please contact us at the registration desk.
Groups and rooms
At the registration desk, you will find printed lists of participants and their room numbers. You will also find a map of the venue to help you find your way to the right room.

Please note that the workshops have a limited number of participants, so places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Breakfast:
Breakfast at the venue is not included in the conference.
However, if you happen to miss breakfast at your hotel, you will be happy to know that the coffee break at around 10:30 includes a nice bun to keep you going.
Morning/evening song:
When we hold meetings of the Danish Balint Society, we always begin and end the days by singing together. Please do not be too shy to participate in this informal gathering, which serves to foster a sense of community and togetherness.
The visit to Moesgaard Museum Thursday:
For those of you who have reserved a guided tour please note that the meeting point for the group is at the entrance of the museum at 10 a.m. and not at the venue of the congress. If you are one of the group leaders: Take care to participate in the group that will have the first guided tour in order to make it possible for you to be at the congress venue for the group leaders’ meeting starting at 11 o’clock (taxi’s are ordered).
Dinner Thursday at the venue:
Thursday evening all participants are welcome at the evening dinner at the venue. It will be a buffet including water, a soft drink, a beer or a glass of wine followed by coffee/tea with some cake. Please note that accompanying people can purchase access to the dinner for 300 DKK (cash) when you arrive at the registration desk Thursday 12-13 p.m.
Galla dinner Friday at Varna:
The dinner takes place Friday 18:00 p.m. at the Restaurant Varna, Marselisborg Skov, Ørneredevej 3, DK-8000 Århus C. We are looking forward to good food and a lovely dance after the meal.

Guided tour Saturday afternoon:
Those who have registered for this event: You will be following some members from the organizing committee from the venue. Be ready at the entrance for departure: 16:10 p.m.
Accomodation at the venue:
For organizers and others who will stay at the venue: Members of the organizing committee will be at the venue from Wednesday afternoon to provide you with the key to your room.
