Museum Ovartaci: Museum Ovartaci This museum situated close to the University Hospital in the northern part of Aarhus displays the surreal expression of the inner life of a patient throughout 56 years at the old psychiatric hospital.

Where to eat

Aarhus has plenty of restaurants, cafés and bistros within a wide range of prices. Nevertheless, it may be necessary to book in advance.

Prepare for the weather:
October in Denmark may be nice and quiet but is often wet and windy. Bring comfy shoes and a windbreaking and water repellent jacket or coat – may be better than an umbrella as you will never be alone on the pavement.

The bus company Midttrafik offers day tickets at: Dayticket including busses, nightbusses and Letbanen (the local light rail)

How to reach Aarhus:
From Copenhagen: by airplane to Aarhus Airport (duration ca. 45 minutes) or by train to Aarhus Central Station (duration 3 hours)

From Aarhus Airport: blue bus route 925X Aarhus Airport | Bus 925X from Aarhus C (duration 50 minutes)

From Billund Airport: blue bus route 912X Billund Airport | Airport bus 912X (duration 1,5 hours).

Bus from central Aarhus to the congress venue (Diakonhøjskolen):

Blue bus route 100 direction Odder from the central bus station and the railway station to the bus stop ”Lyseng Allé” leaves about every 20 minutes. Duration ca. 12 minutes.

The bus drivers are always helpful if you need guidance about where to get off the bus. From the bus stop you have 500 meters by foot to the congress venue Diakonhøjskolen.

Bus from central Aarhus to Moesgaard Museum:
Yellow bus route 18 direction Moesgaard Museum leaves twice an hour from Park Allé (near the railway station and the central bus station). Duration ca. 30 minutes.

To be at Moesgaard Museum in due time for the guided tour you should catch the bus at 9.34 at the latest. From the bus stop there is a five minutes walk slightly uphill to the main entrance.

Bus from central Aarhus to Varna where the congress dinner is held:
10-15 minutes from central Aarhus with blue bus route 100 direction Odder to the bus stop “Mindeparken/Oddervej” from which there is a short seaside walk about 9 minutes.
